SILK Project

The SILK project (Setting up breast diagnostic services, Improving breast cancer treatments and potentiating Learning bridges in Kyrgyzstan) addresses the high mortality rate of breast cancer in Kyrgyzstan, exacerbated by limited healthcare resources. It aims to set up breast diagnostic services and improve treatment, while actively engaging patient representatives. Areas of intervention include pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, and nutrition.

-Promote local patient organizations and healthcare providers for sustainable care   

– Expand breast cancer care beyond Bishkek, focusing on rural areas
