AI Radiotherapy Contouring
14.04.2027
Kenyatta National Hospital
This project addresses critical gaps in radiotherapy access in Kenya, where limited infrastructure and workforce shortages constrain cancer care at high‑burden facilities like Kenyatta National Hospital. It introduces AI‑based auto‑contouring to improve the efficiency and quality of radiotherapy treatment planning in a resource‑limited setting. By combining system audits, staff training, and implementation of AI tools, the project aims to reduce treatment delays and enhance care for patients with advanced cancers. It will also evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and scalability of this approach to inform broader adoption across similar low‑ and middle‑income country settings.
