ACCESS Project in Cameroon
30.09.2027
2026-2027 - 223,210 €
The ACCESS Project addresses the urgent burden of breast and cervical cancer in Cameroon, where thousands of women die each year and prevention services remain limited, especially in the underserved West Region. Through an 18‑month intervention, the project combines health system strengthening, community engagement, and implementation research to expand access to screening and HPV vaccination. It will train healthcare workers, equip facilities, mobilize communities, and deliver services to at least 3,000 women and 4,000 children, through collaboration with the Ministry of Health. By generating evidence and fostering local ownership, ACCESS aims to build sustainable cancer prevention services and inform national scale‑up efforts.
